Jennifer Keusgen is a designer and researcher with a focus on speculative and critical design methods — currently based in Munich. She explores the boundaries of physical and digitally supported design and production processes and designs alternative forms of dealing with and producing fashion.
After her fashion design studies at the Pforzheim University - School of Design and a stay abroad at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India, Jennifer Keusgen worked internationally as a concept and fashion designer for several years. In 2020, she completed the Master's programme in Integrative Design at the Academy of Art and Design (FHNW) in Basel. Her master's thesis "Tactile Matters" - deals with the potential of clothing to influence processes of consciousness by means of speculative tracksuits and was presented in several design magazines and at research congresses.
In addition to her work as an academic assistant for New Materials and Technologies in the Textile Design programme at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, she cooperates with various companies and institutions.
